Inspiration
I’ve always been fascinated by plants and nature, and I noticed that while there’s a lot of information online, it’s often scattered across different platforms. People may struggle to identify plants or find relevant care advice. This led me to create a website that allows users to learn about plants, identify them using AI, and connect with others who share the same passion.
What it does
Its a platform where users can identify there plants and learn ,The website provides detailed descriptions of plants, including their origin, ideal growth conditions, and maintenance tips, and also Users can find other people who own the same plants, allowing them to share experiences, ask questions, and build a community around their shared interest in gardening and plant care.
How we built it
i used HTML ,CSS ,JAVASCRIPT , and JSON, to store the data,and APIs
Challenges we ran into
I joined this hackathon a bit later than most participants, which gave me less time to fully gather and structure the detailed plant data that would be ideal for the platform. Collecting comprehensive and accurate information about each plant, such as care tips, growth requirements, and origin details, has proven to be quite a challenge due to the vast diversity of plant species.
What we learned
I learned A lot about plants during this period.
What's next for Green Haven
i think will rebuild it with much better technologies like reactjs and also adding events section and community section and letting users chat with each other.
