Inspiration
I usually am a lot more motivated to do things when I'm doing them with others who are just as passionate so I thought it would be cool to try to build a website where people can interact and set ways up to help their communities together.
What it does
It tells people some ways they can help their community environments and gives them places for discussion with others(if fully working).
How we built it
I worked on the basic page outlays first then added more complex parts later. Also I forgot to put this in the recording I did but the backend was mostly from me following a tutorial so I'm not completely sure what rules you guys have in place for that but I just wanted to let you know.
Challenges we ran into
There were just a lot of small errors that crashed my code and I wouldn't be able to fix them for 1-2 hours.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Working with Django because that's the first time I've worked with it.
What we learned
Make sure to pay attention to the small things so they don't cause a lot of trouble later.
What's next for Green Hands Network
Improving user interface and interaction(the discussion) so it can function correctly and be used.
