Inspiration

Managing personal finances can be overwhelming, especially with impulse purchases, unexpected expenses, and the challenge of saving for long-term goals. Many existing financial apps focus on tracking past spending rather than preventing unnecessary purchases in real-time. Inspired by this gap, we created Green Guard, an AI-powered financial assistant designed to guide users through smarter spending decisions.

We wanted to build something that wasn’t just a passive budgeting tool but an interactive, proactive system that helps users determine whether a purchase is financially responsible before they make it.

Our inspiration also came from the idea of integrating AI-driven financial coaching directly into banking systems, making personalized financial management more accessible, intuitive, and impactful.
