Inspiration
The environmental impact of electronic devices extends beyond their production to everyday usage, contributing significantly to global carbon emissions. However, most consumers lack awareness of their carbon footprint due to the absence of accessible tracking tools. This gap limits efforts to reduce emissions, especially in the context of power consumption, data usage, and cloud/server operations, which are becoming increasingly relevant in a digitally connected world.
What it does
Green Gauge is an innovative web-based platform aimed at empowering users to monitor and manage their carbon footprint resulting from electronic device manufacturing, power consumption, and device usage. By integrating an ESP32-based smart plug for real-time power data collection and leveraging various datasets for emission calculations, Green Gauge provides users with a detailed analysis of their carbon impact. The platform features interactive dashboards, personalized tips for reducing emissions, and a competitive leaderboard to encourage sustainable practices.
How we built it
- Green Gauge was Build using serval technologies React, Laravel, Vultr, Python, Node.js and many micro technologies
- Integrating them together helped us build such an amazing project ## Challenges we ran into
- The only challenge we were stuck to is real time Monitoring and feedback
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Tracking of various carbon emissions through various means
- Gamification of the project by the implementation of Leaderboard
- The Machine Learning Model that Predicts the future Carbon Emissions by the user
What's next for Green Gauge
` One can work integration with further more possible Carbon emissions
- Real time feedback & Monitoring
