Green Fantom Marketplace

What inspired me

As a nature lover and a crypto enthusiast, I always wanted to find a way to combine my passions and make a positive impact on the environment. That's when I came up with the idea of Green Fantom Marketplace, a NFT platform that supports reforestation efforts in Latin America. By using a transaction fee-based model, we could create a sustainable way to trade NFTs and contribute to a noble cause.

What it does

Green Fantom Marketplace is a platform where users can discover, trade, and collect NFTs while supporting reforestation initiatives in Latin America. Every buy on our platform is a support that goes towards funding reforestation projects, creating a greener future for all.

How we built it

I built Green Fantom Marketplace using cutting-edge blockchain technology and smart contracts. I drew on the experience of all the developer building content you can find, official documentation and so on, and my experience in the area of design and prototyping for a platform concept that could have a significant impact on the environment. As a development environment for smart contracts i used Remix, where we i made tests and deployments and the contracts were created as such; the contracts were made in Solidity and in Solidity we use OpenZepelin to:

• the ERC-721 for the Dummy Token
• The base of contracts for the marketplace

For the design theme, which is my forte, I researched many references and managed to capture the essence in the pieces created. The design tools I used were:

• Figma
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• Midjourney (AI)
• Lexica (AI)
• Stablediffusion (AI)
• Adobe Premiere

Challenges we ran into

Personally, the challenges were quite high, as a designer I do not have development knowledge, therefore the learning curve was very high, however I managed to achieve the execution of contracts. On the frontend side, I consider the learning curve to be even higher, which is why I did not achieve integration, however I did prototype the front visually, taking UX/UI into account.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I feel incredibly proud to have been able to build the smartcontracts for this project; I also believe that the initiative is very good and worth supporting and executing.

What we learned

• Use a development environment for smart contracts.
• Create an ERC721 contract
• Create an smart contract for a marketplace NFT
• Learn much more about national parks and important places for biodiversity on Latin America

What's next for Green Fantom Marketplace

I want to continue with the project, something that could help a lot would be the implementation of an ERC20 token that can be used in the marketplace to buy NFT's.

I also think that the construction of a DEX would be interesting, besides that it could include a fee per tx that supports a pool for the project
