Inspiration
This project was inspired by people who wish they could reduce the risk of climate disaster but have a problem with current carbon offset standards.
What it does
The project shows people how easy it is to search for carbon offsets to prevent double counting. The user should be relieved that the carbon offsets are valid because the token shows the same search terms as the steward name, date, and location shown on the verification documents.
How we built it
This project was built with HTML, Notepad++ Paint, and Lightworks, to show how blockchain node operators and investors can estimate and verify tokenized carbon credits.
Challenges we ran into
The most difficult part was coding the sample token.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Accomplishments include helping people verify the carbon offsets they decide to hold so they are not dependent upon third-party verifiers. Also, making the asset-backed token a soulbound token will assure the SEC that it is not a security.

Next is to airdrop carbon asset-backed NFTs and SBTs from Earth Day to May Day.
