Inspiration
We drew inspiration from Boxhead 2 which is a zombie survival game.
What it does
Our game focuses more on better gameplay experience by featuring more weapons and harder enemies to come up against. As the waves of Zombies progress, the user is faced with a more and more difficult challenge.
How we built it
We used unity to make this game and git to push code to each other and update the game frequently. A platform called Piskel was also used to make sprites for the weapons and characters.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many challenges including collision control for the zombie and player interaction and the numerous sprites to make for each character movement was also challenging. One of the biggest problems was working together on the project in unity as unity did not offer version control.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Despite coming across many problems in the game development process itself, the team was resilient and found ways to fix these problems and persevere. It's also important to note that none of us were experts in unity so implementing a game in an unfamiliar interface is something the team is very proud of.
What we learned
The game development process is by no means simple. Sprites are vital in making the game and accounting for the animations can be time consuming.
