I have seen GRE candidates preparing with apps and flash cards. All these methods keep eyes busy. How to prepare when you are taking some rest with closed eyes? Prepare with Alexa GRE Vocabulary !
What it does
This skills provides high frequency word list for GRE preparation. Students/subscribers can navigate between words with keywords like "next word" , "previous word", "repeat word".
How I built it
I have used nodejs and mongodb to build this skill.
Challenges I ran into
This is my first ISP skill. Most of the samples are talking about lambda functions. I had to do some changes to those samples enabling me to use my own server and framework for building alexa skills.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I was able to add most of the functionalities in less than 10 hours.
What I learned
I learnt all the requirements for building ISP skills.
What's next for GRE Vocabulary
I will be adding more features to the app - e.g. revise words in a session, mark a word for review, rating words as easy, medium and complex. etc.
