Inspiration

Thanksgiving is a time to express gratitude and give back. We wanted to create a platform where people can share positive stories of kindness, inspire their community, and celebrate the power of gratitude.

What it does

Gratitude Story Hub allows users to: • Write and share gratitude stories. • Read inspiring stories from others in their community. • Build a space of positivity and connection through shared acts of kindness.

How we built it

We built the Gratitude Story Hub using: • HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: For the structure, design, and interactivity. • GitHub Codespaces: For writing and testing the code in a cloud environment. • Live Server: To test the project locally in real-time.

Challenges we ran into

• Understanding how to set up and run code locally as beginners.
• Designing a user-friendly interface that encourages participation.
• Adding functionality to dynamically display user-submitted stories.

Accomplishments that we’re proud of

• Creating a fully functional platform where users can share and read stories.
• Learning new tools like GitHub, Codespaces, and Live Server.
• Designing a simple yet meaningful website that fosters gratitude.

• Adding a database to save stories permanently for future readers.
• Allowing users to like and comment on stories for greater interaction.
• Expanding features to include photo or video uploads alongside stories.
• Hosting it online with a professional domain for wider reach.
