Inspiration

I was inspired to start this project because I saw the struggles of the new generation of students. I’ve noticed that a lot of new talent misses on opportunities because they don’t have financial aid or enough knowledge to pursue them.

I hope to provide useful resources for upcoming students to pursue their goals.

How we built it

I used a range of resources to build Grant Guru. I used several apis, mixed with HTML, JS, CSS, and PHP.

Challenges we ran into

One of the few challenges I faced was finding APIs to work with the technologies used. I experimented with a variety of APIs, taking a considerable amount of time to find the perfect one.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I’m proud of the UI, and the functionality of the design.

What we learned

I learnt much more about struggles that students may face in the near future, looking at developing tools to combat the issues. I learnt much more about PHP and JS combo in development, being able to reference AI, etc.

What's next for Grant Guru

I may choose to continue developing GrantGuru, and if I do, I plan to build on the tools currently provided. I may also build a user system, to allow people to save their information.
