Inspiration

My inspiration was an AI powered, easy-to-use Grammarly extension alternative.

What it does

It simply detects what you're writing and suggests grammar fixes based on your pre-selected tone like professional, or natural.

How we built it

I built it as a Chrome extension with HTML, CSS, JS, and Gradient AI with the model OpenAI GPT OSS 120B.

Challenges we ran into

My main challenge was correctly analyzing texts and suggesting fixes on time as I constantly needed to call Gradient API.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The main accomplishment is that GrammarPal is working perfectly fine.

What we learned

I learned about a very-needed practical use case of AI in wrinting, specially with Digital Ocean Gradient AI.

What's next for GrammarPal

The next step for GrammarPal will be to make it more smooth for handling long and complex texts and launch it for public users with minimal subscription tiers suitable for most of the users around the World.
