What Inspired Me The idea behind the Graffio Salon project was to match the luxury and style of an elite grooming experience with an equally premium digital presence. Inspired by the salon’s prestigious location in Dubai Mall and its focus on high-end male clientele, I set out to design a bold, clean, and confident website that reflects the brand’s identity: modern masculinity, sophistication, and attention to detail.
What I Learned This project deepened my understanding of creating luxury-brand websites with a strong visual language. I learned to carefully balance typography, spacing, and motion to deliver a refined look, while also focusing on performance optimization for a seamless mobile and desktop experience. I also worked on improving UX for appointment flows, ensuring users can book services with minimal friction.
How I Built It The Graffio Salon site was built using modern tools and best practices:
React for a dynamic, component-driven layout
TypeScript for scalability and clean code architecture
Vite for lightning-fast development and deployment
Tailwind CSS for responsive, minimal styling
shadcn/ui for ready-to-use, accessible UI components
I structured the layout to highlight service categories, luxury experience visuals, stylist profiles, and easy appointment booking — all while maintaining brand elegance and clarity.
Challenges I Faced Capturing the luxury feel in a minimal digital format was a key challenge. Every element — from font pairings to button styles — needed to exude class without overloading the interface. Additionally, ensuring fast load times despite high-res images and subtle animations required careful image optimization and lazy loading techniques. I also focused on cross-device consistency, knowing many clients may browse from mobile while traveling.
