Grading on the spot

Inspiration

Our inspiration came from our ELA teacher. We saw that she took a very long time to grade our test and homework so we wanted to design software that could do this automatically.

What it does

It grades homework and test very fast and correctly almost “on the spot”.

How we built it

We stayed together on a online call trying to figure out the algorithm and in the end we found out about pytesseract.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into was that the website did not work properly and the image did not load so we could not use it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

An accomplishment we are proud of is that we were able to write the code correctly and it should help teachers if put into an app.

What we learned

We learned about pytesseract.

What's next for Grading on the spot

What's next is for Grading on the spot is that it would be put into an app so that teachers don’t have to write the code into a compiler to run it.
