TJ students are known to be constricted time-wise and therefore have less opportunities to be social with their peers. As a result, we created GradeA Fish to help link TJ students who share common interests unique to the TJ experience.

What it does

You create an account, filled out with your interests and personal preferences -- like G.P.A and favorite teacher. Then, the program suggests a few matches based on the similarities and helps you connect with them.

How we built it

We coded the front-end with HTML and CSS. The back-end will be implemented later and will be built with a MongoDB database and JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

We had issues with registering the domain, and then we figured out we couldn't upload our pages onto it anyways because it cost money. We also had trouble using and figuring out MongoDB and learning CSS in a short period of time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are especially proud of the design of the website, and the graphic aspects.

What we learned

We learned a lot about HTML, CSS, and domains/websites/servers in general. In addition, we became more familiar with Bootstrap.

What's next for GradeA Fish

We will be working to officially implement the database and hope to create actual accounts in the near future. We'll also improve the algorithm to match people.
