Grade Guru - Overall Topic

Grade Guru is an all-in-one GPA Calculator with a great amount of features, most of which cannot be found on a normal calculator website found on Google. It is also perfectly adapted to BRHS!

Inspiration

I had trouble calculating my GPA with typical google websites. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands! This website provides all the necessary features to help a student be the best they can be in terms of their grades and GPA.

What it does

Grade Guru is an advanced GPA calculator specifically adapted for our school, BRHS! It includes features like the main GPA calculator, a resources page, an FAQ page, and a login page to save your data (includes pdf too).

How we built it

Languages used include JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. I used VS Code to develop and test out my website.

Challenges we ran into

One main challenge I ran into was debugging the problems with the website. Along with this, it was difficult finding out how to make the website good without useful tools like node.js. Lastly, I spent a good amount of time trying to make the website look attractive with CSS.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of learning how to do Web Development, and creating this GPA calculator.

What we learned

I learned how to do Javascript, HTML, and CSS to an advanced level. I also learned features like IndexDB, Local Storage, and creating custom PDF files.

What's next for Grade Guru

I wish to implement better and more secure storage options. Also, I want to make the website better adapted for different device types.
