Inspiration

As someone who likes volunteering, I find it hard to find reliable places or activities to volunteer near my place. Thus I would like to build an app that helps people find volunteering activities. The app is called GraceGuide.

What it does

• People need to provide location where they want to do volunteer
• People can provide the activities they want to volunteer
• Users can provide types of people they want to help

First the app asks people to input location, activity types, and who they want to help. Then the app will suggest volunteering opportunities near the users' locations.

How we built it

The app was built using

• Replicate
• Snowflake Arctic
• Hugging Face - LLaMA 7B
• Streamlit.

Challenges we ran into

We had challenges to learn about new technology of combining Replicate, Snowflake Arctic, Hugging Face - LLaMA 7B, and Streamlit to build the app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to build a complete and functioning app.

We learnt about how to use and develop with Replicate, Snowflake Arctic and Hugging Face - LLaMA 7B

What's next for GraceGuide

• We would like to offer the app in different languages
• We would like the app to suggest more activities and places for volunteering
