Inspiration:

Hiring someone who can become fluent in the technical nuances of a company can be difficult, time consuming, and expensive. This is especially critical for customer support/success professionals, which is why it’s often broken apart to Level 1, 2, and 3 agents. Hiring is especially difficult (and expensive) when candidates must know industry-specific topics (i.e. incentivized caching system, decentralized video streaming platform).

Beyond hiring, maintaining a steady workforce can be difficult with benefits, raises, turnover, interpersonal office turmoil, and dynamic staffing requirements based on the economic environment.

What it does:

Visca is a GPT4 AI that can become your 24/7 community manager of all Theta Network info (and its ecosystem projects), at 95-98% cheaper than hiring additional humans. Visca employees are easy to train, simply by uploading files to your company-specific Onedrive folder. They automatically learn new project information as well without manual input. Visca employees can have a unique face, voice, and personality you can designate. They have unlimited scale for 1-on-1 conversation, and are consistently kind in each interaction. Visca is deployable on Telegram, Discord, Twitter (coming soon), Whatsapp, and websites. Our demo is Discord, but if you DM us we can quickly spin up demos on other platforms as well.

In addition to answering questions, our GPT4 community manager can also auto-delete hate speech or give warnings for certain behaviors (i.e. auto-replying "this is not a security do not expect financial gain" if someone posts about getting rich/retiring off Theta Network.). It can also help developers building on the Theta network with training/education modules (i.e. checking code, ansering programming language specific questions, creating intermediate training modules).

Our team has a Wharton MBA alumni / Y-Combinator startup founder, a Stanford professor, and an American Express engineer on the AI team.

How we built it:

Outside of the hackathon, we built an automation platform that allows us to custom build custom GPTs automatically with no human input needed. Because of this, we can price GPTs at the lowest possible price (server+licensing costs) because there's no engineer bandwidth used. It also enables us to enter hackathons and spin up custom GPTs in hours as a way to demonstrate our platform (we literally entered this hackathon the day before the deadline).

There's literally no technical knowledge needed to create a custom GPT community manager. All you need to do is upload (pdf, word, csv, ppt) files to a Onedrive folder and it creates one for you automatically!

Challenges we ran into:

It takes GPT4 awhile to compute long answers (if you have familiarity with using ChatGPT). For this hackathon we went with really long answers to show the robust-ness of the system, but outside this hackathon we have other demos where it gives short answers instantaneously. Up to you what the perfect balance you want it to be.

We also put the anti hate/financial advice auto-moderation into another GPT bot specialized in detecting that (in the "multigpt" channel) to help separate its capabilities. If we progress beyond this hackathon and you prefer it to be combined to the same agent, we can do that as well.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

We are running a paid pilot program with the Near Blockchain and are in talks with several other major L1 blockchains for implementation. We were recently a finalist at both the AI San Francisco Hackathon and the Stanford LLM hackathon.

What we learned:

Theta Network is pretty cool :) there's lots of interesting possibilities for GPT integration with Theta Network beyond the scope of a hackathon (i.e. auto-data cleansing inputs from blockchain transations or social media conversations and formatting them for analytic friendly ways, executing transactions on the blockchain such as "hey Theta Network GPT, please buy 300 FIL on my account"). Happy to have a follow-up converastion outside this hackathon to discuss those possibilities!

What's next for GPT4 Community Manager For Theta Network - FAQ, Hate Speech, etc:

We're looking to implement a low-cost GPT4 community manager for every major blockchain protocol as a supplement to community manager resources.
