Inspiration

I'm a lifelong teacher and educator who does a lot of speaking in workshops but hates being tethered to my machine while presenting and having to look at audience feedback after the session is done.

What it does

This is a custom slide UI with HTML slides and manual controls if you want. Navigation controls are also exposed to the GPT real-time model, which can be invoked with a wake word and do all of the navigation for you just from voice input. Also allows for audience data to be collected and injected back into the slides in near real time

How we built it

I used codex and GPT 5.6 Sol high to build, Cloudflare to host data and workers, GPT Realtime model to operate the slides.

Challenges we ran into

Figuring out how to get audience data from a landing page entered into the slides as quickly as possible and create a pop-up mode to show them without hard coding them into a single slide

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  1. That it worked
  2. That it only cost about $0.67 to run for an hour, including testing ## What we learned It still needs some polish but the promise of operating with your voice and getting audience data as fast as they submit it is a completely new paradigm for educators. ## What's next for GPT Realtime Slides Simplifying the backend and making it easier for people to use this. All they should need is an open AI API key.
