Inspiration
The most annoying part of a trip and hanging out is the planning process. We cut that part out to make the most of your time with the least amount of effort.
What it does
Our website takes in input from you and provides an itinerary with cost, addresses, photos, and more.
How we built it
We built the frontend using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The backend was built using OpenAI API, Maps API, Node.js, Express, and Javascript. The team collaborated with one another through GitHub and Visual Studio Code.
Challenges we ran into
The ChatBot would return completely random sentences ranging from a Wikipedia summary of Barack Obama to reciting poetry from the Dead Poet's Society. We also had difficulty making the output display data from Maps API.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The UI/UX looks amazing.
What we learned
We learned how to use API's and how to call the backend from the frontend.
What's next for SocialSync AI
It only shows the places at the moment, but we hope to create directions based off of the route people want to take.
