Inspiration

A lot of our friends wanted to know what their GPA was at any moment because, at our school students are only able to see their GPAs at the end of the semester. Also, when they did try to calculate their GPA by themselves, most of the time it turned out to be incorrect because of mathematical errors.

What it does

Our program lets students calculate their GPA as soon as they enter their information.

How we built it

We used HTML, JavaScript, and CSS to build this program.

Challenges we ran into

We were stuck on how to let the user edit their information and how to properly calculate the GPA.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the many people that can use this in the real world as already a lot of our friends have said this project is useful for them. Furthermore, we are also proud of the output of our code because the website is visually appealing and efficient to use.

What we learned

We learned that debugging and teamwork are a big part of projects like this because in order to make the best project possible, all of the team members have to collaborate and solve problems together.

What's next for GPA Genius

We are planning to add a letter-grade input as well as showing an unweighted GPA.
