Inspiration

We've always used plsgrade.me to calculate our GPA, we wanted to give it a bit more pizazz, QoL features and integrate the meme about our GPA not being able to buy chicken rice into the calculator.

What it does

Calculates your GPA by inputting the credit and grade for that module.

How we built it

We created a high-fidelity mobile design inside Figma and then developed the application using React.js with TypeScript, alongside Chakra-UI for our components framework to make our design come to reality for both mobile and desktop.

Challenges we ran into

We were very rusty with web dev, as all of us did not use react for a long time ago. This made us a bit confused when some weird bug occurs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the minimalistic design and ease of use of the website both in web and mobile view.

What we learned

We learnt how to manage our time properly as we create a project for a hackathon

What's next for GPA buy wat?

We are planning to spread out the calculations and make it also consider the different Universities in SG not only NUS and NTU.
