GP JAMNAGAR

Inspiration

In our campus at GP JAM, we have always had troubles with students and professors for the schedule of assignments and practicals. We wanted to create an app to be able to schedule a time of day to do assignments and practicals. If we ended up developing the app, we would have it a document sharing environment which we call "Classes", between students and faculties as well as a reminder function that would remind the students that they have to do their assignments or practicals in given time schedule or that their work is almost done!

What it does

This is an app that displays the basic Information about our college , also it lets the Professors schedule the deadlines for the submissions, these deadlines is displayed to students as per their classes and has other info about current college events and galleries.

How I built it

We created the app using the flutter in android studio and for handling request we've used Firebase API and built a specific filter for students which automatically redirect them to their Classes based on their major!

Challenges I ran into

Flutter and Firebase working together, Back end work, Gradle Version being asynchronous (Especially when we're relying on the Firebase Database and Storage for the result.)

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We've successfully created a fully functional application that allows for users to easily access the relevant information.

What I learned

We learned that android library sucks (lol). We learned how to solve libraries version incompatibility and to make everything work.

What's next for GP JAMNAGAR

We'll probably end up future of this project to create a more robust and better looking application for our Campus.
