Inspiration
In Ziarat and many areas of Balochistan, people don't have access to big job portals like LinkedIn or Rozee. They miss Government jobs like FPSC, PPSC, Army, Police. I wanted to make a simple app for all Pakistan jobs in one place.
What it does
My app "Govt latest job" shows all Pakistan Govt and Private jobs. User can see daily new jobs, filter by province, and get easy apply details. It is very simple and works on low internet.
How we built it
I built it using Android Studio with Java/Kotlin. I used Firebase for database and notifications to send daily job alerts.
Challenges we ran into
Main challenge was collecting daily jobs from different websites and making the app very light for low-end phones. I also made it work in simple English/Urdu so everyone can understand.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I made an app that can help millions of unemployed youth in Pakistan, especially from my area Ziarat.
What we learned
I learned how to use Amazon Appstore publishing, Firebase, and how to make UI simple for normal users.
What's next for Govt latest job
I will add CV maker, Amazon Alexa job voice search, and push notification for new jobs.
