Inspiration 🧐💡
To start off, our group is very new to blockchain and Solana. When we first saw Solana's Governance
What it does 🂡🂠
Allows users to see the most important information on each DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) by hovering over it.
How we built it 🛠🔧
We used React hooks to pull data from json. Specifically, the useEffect hook to load data on page load and useState to keep track of differences between organizations
Challenges we ran into
From a technical standpoint, there weren't any major challenges we ran into. This project had a very limited scope. Learning the library and codebase surrounding Governance UI, working with new teammates in very different timezones, and too many meetings were the most difficult part of this week.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We'll be able to submit a PR to Solana's official Governance UI library as part of this hackathon! We look forward to communicating with the Solana team.
What we learned
We learned to navigate the parts of the codebase that we'll be working on in the next 11 weeks as well as what separates various DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations) within the UI.
What's next for Governance UI Informed Cards
First of all, we plan to submit a PR to Solana's repo. We would like their feedback on what the most important statistics are for users, what order to put them in, etc. In addition, currently, some of the numbers are generated randomly. Due to time constraints we weren't able to figure out how to access all of the relevant information.
