Bringing People Together- Literally

Last year at LA Hacks, our team started a successful long-term project to improve the world of social media- Uplift, the social network built on positivity. This year, we decided to tackle a new challenge- building a complete, fully functional, original app in 24 hours. And we did just that.

Got Yer Nose is a novel face-swapping app that uses the Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services Face API. Instead of simply pasting one person's face on another, it enables you to select the specific facial features you want to swap. Thus, you can swap facial features with up to 6 other people.

What's Next for Got Yer Nose

When hacking began 35 hours ago, we set ourselves a goal of releasing a fully functioning app on iTunes and Google Play in the timespan of one week, and that is what we plan to do. Got Yer Nose will be a simple, standalone app that users can use to quickly swap noses with celebrities or friends.

In the future, we hope to improve the meshing quality between facial features to make the end result more realistic. For now, it's in the style of a collage, which is good too!
