Inspiration

Personnaly an din my job I can see lot of people that looking for features on Google Workspace side and people under estimate power of Google application due to lack of knowledge. Idea was to provide an intuitive way to answer people questions about google application and also provide a fun way to let them improve their knowledge.

What it does

This agent will answer user question about Google Application (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Calendar, Google Drive, etc..) and it will generate quizz for users in order to discover new features and functionnality about Google Workspace application.

How we built it

It is built using Vertex AI Agent with custom integration through API to find relevent information for answering users questions. We have 2 agents in the bot to manage asked questions and answers to provide and one agent for the quiz generation.

Challenges we ran into

Part of the challenge was to well balanced between question answering and quizz generation and to get the relevant solution based on user question. Also one of the challenge was to have an Agent that stick to question and documentation provided by the API.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Have a bot that answer question is quite normal but hte fact to have a quizz generation is a great addition in order to not only answer question but also improve knowledge. If people are more confident in the applications and have more knwoledge they will have a better usage.

What we learned

Event if programming the Agent is "just" typing phrases in Vertex AI, it is really important to well order each steps and think about user flow in the agent. Also the example are really crutial in order to have the behavior expected from the agent. A well describe agent without examples do not have the same level of accuracy than the one is example.

What's next for Google Workspace Helper

Nect steps would be maybe to extend the question/answer function to more application depending user feedback. Second it would be to have a gamification level a bit higher like a board of top users that answered the most question questions.
