Inspiration At work the warehouse has to rely on basic route knowledge to avoid getting fines for being on incorrect roads. Most of the drivers just “know” the routes, but they don’t take into account the best routes possible for heavy cargo. Being able to show routes already preestablished for these types of vehicles will ensure the safety of both the CDL drivers and the non-commercial drivers. Inside Google Maps there is not a section for these types of vehicles, this can help small businesses have better planning for their day to day operations.

What it does It checks the best routes for heavy transport like trailers or thorntons, considering possible chokepoints inside the roads. It considers the Monterrey traffic guide to verify which routes are prohibited for heavy transport.

How we built it Using Claude Code and Codex we built the application using selected prompts given by Gemini.

Challenges we ran into -Connecting Gemini API -Connecting Google Maps API -Getting everything to work together.

Accomplishments that we're proud of -Getting it to work -Being able to use GenAI properly

What we learned -Usage of API keys -Using Claude Code

What's next for Google Transport -Implement it for small businesses especially for logistics. -Add more features like having your own fleet and give recommendations for which vehicles to use.
