Inspiration
Every day, millions waste hours filling repetitive Google Forms - surveys, job applications, registrations. Manual clicking through 50+ fields takes 5-10 minutes per form. We built an AI agent to do it in seconds.
What it does
Google Form Auto-Filler is an AI-powered agent using WebMCP that:
- Reads Google Form structure automatically
- Understands field types (text, email, select, checkbox, etc)
- Fills answers intelligently using Gemini AI
- Submits forms with one click
- Stores personal info locally (no server storage)
How we built it
- Backend (Python Flask) - Secure API with Gemini integration, rate limiting, API key auth
- Chrome Extension - Popup UI with local memory storage, DOM inspection
- WebMCP Tools - Form analyzer, field filler, submission tracker
- Security - Per-key rate limiting, JSON schema validation, safe parsing, CORS hardened
Tech: Python, Flask, React, Chrome Extension, Gemini API, WebMCP
Challenges we ran into
- Model output validation (JSON parsing robustness)
- URL validation & SSRF prevention
- Rate limiting per API key vs IP
- Handling different form field types dynamically
- Local storage privacy concerns
Accomplishments that we're proud of
1 . Production-grade security (9.5/10 audit score) 2.Fully functional Chrome extension with local memory 3.Safe model output parsing with schema validation
- Per-key rate limiting for distributed deployments
- Professional README with 20k+ character documentation 6.Built in 48 hours with zero shortcuts
What we learned
- WebMCP is powerful for browser automation
- Security-first development from day one pays off
- Local storage beats server storage for privacy
- Gemini AI handles unstructured form data better than structured APIs
- Extension development is simpler than we thought
What's next for Google Forms MCP
- Database persistence (SQLAlchemy)
- More field type support (file uploads, date pickers)
- Bulk form filling (CSV input)
- Smart response templates
- Analytics dashboard
- Support for Microsoft Forms, Jotform
