Inspiration
With increasing cyber threats, understanding how hashing and encryption work is more important than ever. This project was inspired by the need to make cryptography more interactive and accessible.
What it does
SecureHash AI allows users to generate hashes, analyze their strength, and simulate attacks like brute-force attempts in a controlled environment. It helps users understand how secure their data really is.
How I built it
The backend is built in C for efficient hashing operations, while the frontend uses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for an interactive user interface. Node.js is used to connect the UI with the hashing engine. Google Cloud is used for deployment and scalability.
Challenges I ran into
Integrating low-level C hashing algorithms with a web-based frontend was challenging. Handling performance optimization and ensuring accurate hash comparisons also required careful debugging.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Successfully built a working hashing engine and connected it with a user-friendly interface. The real-time feedback system for hash strength is a key achievement.
What I learned
Learned how cryptographic algorithms work in depth, improved backend integration skills, and understood how to design secure systems.
What's next
Adding support for more algorithms, improving the UI, and implementing AI-based password strength prediction.
