Inspiration
Our game draws inspiration from Between Reigns, Werewolf, and Trivial Pursuit, blending social interaction, strategy, and manipulation of information.
What it does
This role-playing game raises a crucial question: how do we respond to an information crisis? Players must navigate a world filled with misinformation and half-truths while trying to make informed decisions for the future of the community.
How we built it
We built a physical board game made entirely of paper, which players can print and cut out themselves for a quick and easy gaming experience.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges was creating a system that ensures smooth interaction between players while balancing personal interests with the collective good.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud of the game’s overall design and the surprises it brings. We love everything about it—from its humor and goofy elements to how it brought our team together and strengthened our bond.
What we learned
We learned how to improve the mechanics, focusing less on complex code and more on design and gameplay to create a richer player experience.
What's next for Goofy City Need You
Next, we plan to improve the handling of information and scenarios, offer better tokens, and add more gameplay mechanics to enhance interaction and spark deeper debates around the table.
