Inspiration
Love of wholesomeness, and of course you know what fits into that category?? Dogs. I saw an article with pictures of dogs before and after being called good boy and wow it was adorable. The Most Wholesome Hack was the perfect opportunity to create something to implement this.
What it does
It's a simple webpage but it should hopefully make you smile with its dynamic features: including calling him a good boy and giving him a well deserved head scratch.
How we built it
Used a combination of HTML, CSS and JavaScript with them all interacting with each other and then GitHub Pages was used to host the page.
Challenges we ran into
Formatting the webpage how I visioned it, getting the dog photo into the vertical centre was tough and having better looking buttons. Finding the functions that were very useful for the JavaScript part of the page, so it did what it was intended to do.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
To be honest actually making my first webpage (and that it works!!) using these three languages and also managing to host it so it can be viewed not just locally too.
What we learned
Being an almost complete beginner to all three languages I learnt basically everything that is in the code for this project. I watched beginner YouTube videos, went on W3Schools and enjoyed the challenge
What's next for Good Boy
More dogs!! Obviously who wouldn't love to see even more dogs and smile. So the next feature would be to be able to rotate through different cute dogs
