Inspiration

As a golf player, I've always struggled to keep up with my statistics and find a place to store them, so I decided to make a golf statistics tracker that not only stores them but has line graphs, displaying changes over time.

What it does

It allows users to enter rounds with multiple statistics, create custom statistics, analyze their averages, and view line graphs for each statistic.

How we built it

I built it over the course of 4 months, meaning this was an ongoing project. I utilized Visual Studio Code in addition to Claude for help with CSS.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge I ran into was the architecture of the app. Being relatively new to React, I struggled understanding the coordination between different components and good architecture.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud of the amount of React I've learned and the progress I was able to make. I am also proud of my app's usefulness, being something that I will likely use on my own.

What we learned

I learned a lot of javascript, in addition to coding architecture.

What's next for Golf Statistics Tracker

The next thing I am going to work on is implementing an AI API that will give a breakdown of the statistics and identify the best areas to work on.
