The world is coming to Los Angeles. Every neighborhood deserves a share of the opportunity.
The LA 2028 Olympics will put our city on the world’s biggest stage. For a few extraordinary weeks, visitors will arrive ready to explore, celebrate, and spend. But the neighborhood sushi restaurant, family-owned pizza shop, and independent local experience will be competing for attention against brands with enormous advertising budgets.
We built Goldcoast around a simple idea: turn Olympic excitement into local discovery.
We envision a service backed by the Mayor’s Office where local businesses can sign up to become part of the Olympic experience. As memorable sporting moments unfold, Goldcoast connects that excitement to relevant businesses across Los Angeles and creates timely, contextual ads that give visitors a reason to explore beyond the venues.
A spectacular gymnastics routine becomes an invitation to discover sushi in Koreatown. A moment that sparks interest in a sport becomes an opportunity to try it at a local business. Each ad opens a door to a neighborhood a visitor might otherwise never encounter.
The moment earns their attention. The neighborhood gives them somewhere to go.
Our prototype brings that journey to life through a coordinated AI pipeline. It identifies standout moments in recorded Olympic footage, connects curated athlete interests with participating businesses, and generates landscape and portrait ads. A separate AI judge checks each ad for visual quality, business accuracy, style, format, and brand safety before a human approves it. An operator can follow the entire process in one web interface.
Building Goldcoast taught us that useful AI advertising depends on more than a compelling image. The business must be real, the connection must make sense, and the message must stay accurate. Our biggest challenges were coordinating the agents, preserving athlete identity, getting generated text right, and creating discovery-oriented copy without implying an athlete’s endorsement. Typed data, independent judging, human review, and recorded replay helped make the prototype reliable.
Our ambition is to give local businesses access to timely, relevant advertising at a scale they could rarely afford individually—and give the city a new way to spread visitor spending across its neighborhoods.
Goldcoast turns a global event into an invitation to experience the local city.
