Inspiration

We wanted to build GoHang to allows events/meetings/hangouts to actually happen instead of perpetually being stuck in the planning state trying to figure out a date and time. Ironically, one of the members of our own group chat didn't show up to the hackathon, which shows the importance of this app.

Stack

We used ExpressJS and MongoDB to build the back-end. The front-end was built with PicoCSS and native JavaScript.

Challenges

Literally everything.

Accomplishments

We learned so much in 36 hours and had an absolute blast.

What's next for GoHang

After the hackathon, we're going to tie up some loose ends and add additional functionality to ensure events go through once a date and time are selected.
