Inspiration
The inspiration was the game Doodle Jump and also a game I played made with Godot called AKey(s)Path by GeeGaz.
What it does
This is a game using the Godot engine to make an infinite vertical runner style of game.
How we built it
This game was built with Godot
Challenges we ran into
We had issues with coordinating it as Godot does not have a specific collaboration feature. Additionally none of us was familiar with the Godot engine and so that was also a struggle as Godot, for example, does not seem to use global variables but rather autoloads scripts where global variables can be stored. That is just one example of the interesting characteristics of Godot that made it a challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that the game is fully playable and that we were able to learn so much of Godot in a single day
What we learned
We learned how to use the Godot Engine and the GodotScript language that comes with it to make 2D games or products.
What's next for Godot Jump
