Inspiration
Our team wanted to demonstrate the vast and intriguing world of Digital Art and Non-Fungible Tokens. Its recent popularity in the public eye has been one of the many highlighting features of the crypto space. The interaction between on-Chain generative art with ERC20 tokens is a complicated yet rewarding process. Drawing inspiration from projects like Wolf Game and Vampire Game, we developed a cutting-edge NFT/Digital Art project for the Metis blockchain. Thanks to the low gas costs on the Metis Blockchain transaction costs with our project are some of the lowest! We hope your excited for a thrilling ancient experience We present to you: God Game, a theme inspired by the deity of this blockchain! Will you be the next to join the Pantheon of Gods?
What it does
We use ERC721 and ERC20 interactions to provide functionality for your NFT!
The tl;dr: - There will only ever be 1,000 Gen 0, minted for .2 METIS each. The 4,000 Gen 1 are minted by farming $FAITH - Worshippers can be staked in the Temple to earn $FAITH and pay a tax anytime they claim their $FAITH earnings - If a Worshipper is unstaked from the Temple, the Gods try to steal all of its accumulated $FAITH - When a Worshipper joins the settlement, the Gods all attempt to gain a new devotee by stealing them. If they succeed the Worshipper is given to a randomly selected God.
How we built it
Using Solidity, Chakra, React, typescript, JS we developed smart contracts and a UI to complement it!
Challenges we ran into
One of our biggest challenges was figuring out the AJ Walker Alias Method to fit our theme and traits.
What we learned
The first thing we learned was the interactions between ERC721 and ERC20 protocols. Additionally, we learned how to create a working UI for the smart contracts. What allowed us to succeed in this project was learning how to communicate well and clearly and concisely exchange information and ideas to advance this project.
What's next for God Game
We would ideally love to add a marketplace so users can buy and sell God Game NFT's so users can display their NFT's as well. We are adding more myth-themed and special traits! Additionally, we are looking to deploy on Metis main net with an expanded collection of 10,000! We are looking to add staking and unstaking functionality in the near future
