Inspiration
Online marketplace is where we purchase goods nowadays, but we cant find everything easily since it involves come manual effort in searching the site to get the desired product.
What it does
Basically what GOchat does is that, it pulls down messenger in facebook to chat with the customer, converse and satisfy their needs, providing them a complete shopping journey through chat itself.
How we built it
We basically used facebook messenger as a tool ui to chat, which will have a webhook request to an framework called api.ai which supports the conversation flow. While the conversation is taken care by api.ai, the real time data from the store or shop is pulled and given as an input through an intermediate application running.
Challenges we ran into
The real challenge we faced was selecting the stacks to bridge all our requirements, also dealing with variety of user inputs was comparatively tougher since user may give any variation of input and expect a reply. So that was the challenge we faced and have also overcome through continuous training of intents
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to fetch and display the live stocks present in store and could able to simulate a real time order through our admin dashboard of the store.
What we learned
We learnt many stuffs ranging from integrations to successful stack combinations, also we were beginners in this and was able to build a real time solution
What's next for GOchat
I am basically running a small startup kind of stuff, apart from my profession, so now i am able to think of providing this solution to the customers so that they could enhance their sales and increase the sensitivity of addressing instead of providing call supports. Need to do some performance tweaks and correction in handling multiple language scenarios, exclusive feature of supporting regional languages of India for now. So according to me... The next step for GOchat would be commercial solution which will empower many small scale business.
