💡 Inspiration

Millions of students rely on YouTube tutorials as their only affordable learning resource.
However, recruiters and institutions don’t recognize them as credible.
We built GoalTube to transform YouTube learning into certified, structured, and personalized education.

🎯 What it does

  • ✅ Learners explore YouTube playlists as structured courses.
  • ✅ After each video, AI-generated quizzes (from subtitles using NLP) test knowledge.
  • ✅ Passing learners earn certificates to showcase their skills.
  • ✅ Teachers/creators can upload playlists and share revenue via ads.
  • ✅ Personalized course recommendations based on history & ratings.
  • ✅ Admin panel to approve playlists & review reported quiz issues.

🛠️ How we built it

  • Frontend: Interactive and user-friendly mobile app UI.
  • Backend: Secure admin panel for approvals & moderation.
  • AI/NLP: Extracts video subtitles → generates quiz questions automatically.
  • Google OAuth: Enables creators to sign in and add playlists.
  • Recommendation System: Suggests courses based on learner activity.

  • Designing fair & dynamic quiz generation from diverse YouTube content.
  • Ensuring accuracy of AI-generated questions and handling incorrect reports.
  • Creating a revenue model that motivates creators while keeping learning free.
