Inspiration

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the largest World Cup in history, spanning multiple cities and countries with millions of traveling fans. Planning travel, managing budgets, navigating unfamiliar locations, tracking match schedules, and handling last-minute changes can be overwhelming. At the same time, local businesses near stadiums face challenges in predicting customer demand and managing operations efficiently.

We wanted to build an AI agent that goes beyond answering questions and actively helps users accomplish real-world tasks. GoalRush AI was created to act as a personal World Cup assistant for fans while also supporting local businesses during high-traffic events.

GoalRush AI is an intelligent multi-step AI agent powered by Gemini that helps fans and businesses during the 2026 World Cup.

How we built it

We built GoalRush AI using:

Google Cloud Agent Builder for agent orchestration Gemini for advanced reasoning and planning Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations for external tools and services Google Maps APIs for navigation and location intelligence Firebase/Firestore for user and itinerary data FastAPI backend for business logic and API integrations React/Next.js frontend for a responsive user experience Google Cloud infrastructure for deployment and scalability
