GoalPath – Career Roadmap Generator

Inspiration

As a student navigating the tech world, I often felt confused about what to learn next, where to find reliable resources, and how to stay on track. Many others I spoke to had similar struggles. That inspired me to create GoalPath — a simple career roadmap generator that gives users a structured, step-by-step path based on their chosen goal.

What it does

Structure learning paths clearly for different goals Use Bolt’s no-code platform efficiently Design user-friendly layouts Deploy projects using Netlify Think from a user-first perspective to keep things clean and purposeful.

How we built it

I started with the concept: choose a career goal, and show a learning path. I built the UI entirely in Bolt.new using prompts and visual components. I manually curated learning resources from trusted platforms like YouTube and Coursera. I deployed the finished app using Netlify. I added future-oriented sections like "Save Plan" and "Ask CoachBot" as placeholders for upcoming features.

Challenges we ran into

Learning and building on a new platform (Bolt.new) within a tight deadline. Designing an intuitive layout while working within Bolt’s capabilities. Structuring content to remain short, actionable, and helpful without overloading the user.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a fully working, deployed application in less than a day using a new platform. Created a clear and useful user experience that solves a real student pain point. Designed a clean and motivational UI that is mobile-friendly and accessible. Successfully integrated future-thinking features like “Save Plan” and “Ask CoachBot.”

What we learned

How to rapidly turn an idea into a working prototype using no-code tools. The importance of structuring content clearly for end users. How to deploy an application using Netlify directly from Bolt. How to think like a product designer and a user at the same time — balancing features with clarity.

What's next for GoalPath – Career Roadmap Generator

Enable users to save and track their progress through a login system. Activate CoachBot to provide AI-based personalized advice. Expand the database of career goals and support custom goal creation. Add a streak tracker, notification reminders, and motivational achievements. Integrate a search system to explore shared roadmaps by others.
