GoalMate: Your Personal Finance Companion

Inspiration

The inspiration behind GoalMate came from the need for simple and efficient tools to help individuals manage their finances. We wanted to create a platform that empowers users to take control of their financial well-being, track their expenses, and set achievable goals to improve their financial future.

What it does GoalMate is a web-based platform that features two main tools:

Expense Tracker – Helps users record and track their daily expenses to understand where their money is going. Goal Tracker – Allows users to set personal financial goals and track their progress towards achieving them, whether it's saving for a big purchase or building an emergency fund. How we built it We built GoalMate using easy-to-use web development tools, focusing on creating an intuitive interface for users. The platform was developed without any complex coding, relying on a no-code solution to make it accessible to everyone. Our approach allowed us to prioritize user experience while maintaining a clean, functional design.

Challenges we ran into One of the main challenges we faced was the limitation of no-code tools when trying to integrate advanced features like AI and UPI payments. Additionally, due to time constraints, we weren't able to implement some of the more advanced features we had originally envisioned.

Accomplishments that we're proud of We are proud of successfully creating a working demo of GoalMate within a short timeframe. Despite the challenges, we were able to develop a functional platform that effectively showcases the core features of expense tracking and goal setting.

What we learned Throughout this project, we learned the importance of focusing on core functionalities and simplicity when building a platform. We also learned how to leverage no-code tools to quickly create a working prototype, which allowed us to concentrate more on the user experience and design.

What's next for GoalMate: Your Personal Finance Companion In the future, we plan to integrate AI to provide personalized financial advice and recommendations, as well as UPI integration for seamless financial transactions. We also aim to improve the user interface and expand features, such as investment tracking and budgeting tools, to offer a more comprehensive solution for personal finance management.
