Inspiration

AI makes software easier to create, opening the door to hyper-personalized apps. But when everyone builds their own tools, the ecosystem becomes fragmented. We wanted personal experiences that still connect people through shared progress and accountability.

What it does

Goalies connects independently built goal-coaching apps through a shared points system. Each app helps users define goals, checks their focus, and sends reminders when they get distracted. Verified focus earns points on a shared leaderboard.

We built two experiences across macOS and Windows: one minimal and chat-focused, the other more expressive. Different interfaces, shared accountability.

How we built it

We used sponsor ai& both to build the apps through agent workflows and to power goal interviews and screen/webcam analysis. Neo4j stores goal relationships and session findings. A shared API turns verified focus intervals into points.

Challenges we ran into

Making screen capture, webcam analysis, permissions, and notifications reliable required real testing. Detecting distraction only helps when the reminder actually reaches you.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Two different apps, built around personal preferences, connected to one working leaderboard across macOS and Windows.

What we learned

Personalization and interoperability can grow together when apps share a small, clear integration contract.

What's next for Goalies

Make it easier for anyone’s agent to connect their own personalized app to the ecosystem.
