Inspiration
We were inspired by banking apps like chime, and a desire to address the issue of financial illiteracy, which we have all faced in our lives.
What it does
GoalDen is a budgeting/savings app that can visualize the data that a user provides, and rewards them with achievements and points that can be redeemed for real world goods.
How we built it
We built the frontend with Flutter and Dart, Firebase for the backend, authentication, and account handling, ElevenLabs for the sound effects, and the Gemini API for the money fact button.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into issues integrating our AI-Powered fact button because we
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are most proud of being able to create use accounts with Firebase along with implementing the Money fact button via the Gemini API. This was pretty difficult, and we ran into several roadblocks trying to use both at the same time
What we learned
We learned how NoSQL database works, how to use Flutter, and making a video.
What's next for GoalDen
Add more achievements. Implement the game features, and getting collaborations with different companies to support our rewards program.
