Most children encounter negative experiences related to the disease such as developing severe anxiety, depression, pain and negative body image. Critter & Me aims to educate and improve the mental health of pediatric patients undergoing childhood cancer treatments by creating a virtual world that is a safe space for users to learn more about their needs with their critter pal while making new hospital buddies in games.
