Inspiration

The Inspiration for this project goes to the theme of this hackathon, learning something new. It brought the motivation and courage to break out of my comfort zone to try something new.

What it does

What GO Server does is that it utilizes a package from GO to get input from the user and redirects the user to their answers by posting them.

How I built it

I built this HTTP-server using the net/HTTP package from GO. This package helped me utilize the methods of GET and POST in the GO language.

Challenges I ran into

Some challenge I ran into was not having the confidence to learn a new programming language. However, the theme of this hackathon resulted in me completing a course on Codecademy about the Go language.
Another challenge for me was my first time using porkon and GoDaddy. I read the documents and watched different youtube tutorials to figure out what to do. By researching and keeping a growth mindset, I was able to overcome these two challenges.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

A great accomplishment I am proud of besides learning a new language was deploying my first ever website using GoDaddy and Porkon. I found how funny I used GoDaddy and the language Go for this hackathon.

What I learned

I learned the basics of GO aka Golang. GO is a programming language made by google. I learned the syntax, types, packages, and so much more. I utilized the documentation and learned all kinds of packages GO can use.

What's next for GO Server

There is so much more potential for GO Server. There are APIs I could add to the server, for a better purpose such as machine learning, data analysis, or even documentation. It can all be done after I have enhanced my skill in GOlang.
