Inspiration

The growing challenge of career confusion among students in today's rapidly evolving job market inspired me. Many students struggle to find clear guidance, relevant skills, and future-proof career paths. I wanted to create a solution that leverages AI to provide personalized and actionable career insights, helping them navigate their future confidently

What it does

GO Next is an AI-powered Career Guidance Application designed to empower students. It works by:

Personalized Profile Creation: Students input their academic background, interests, and skills. Dynamic Career Recommendations: Based on their profile, the app suggests diverse career paths, including high-paying jobs, new-age roles, and even entrepreneurial business ideas. Adaptive Skill Roadmaps: For each recommended career, it outlines essential skills and suggests relevant learning resources like online courses and certifications.

How we built it

I built GO Next as a solo developer for the World's Largest Hackathon. The core of this application was rapidly developed using Bolt.new's powerful AI platform. Bolt.new allowed me to quickly generate the initial application structure, UI components, and integrate AI functionalities like the chatbot and content generation for career recommendations and skill roadmaps. I focused on creating a clean and intuitive user interface to ensure a seamless experience for students.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge I faced was ensuring full functionality within the hackathon's constraints, particularly related to the Bolt Pro access. My initial promo codes were not working, and my tokens for AI generation were exhausted. This limited my ability to implement the full vision for features like real-time market data updates and extensive content generation for all career paths. Additionally, the inability to easily 'Deploy' the application to a public URL due to token issues presented a significant hurdle for live demo submission."

"My vision for GO Next includes implementing the self-updating feature to ensure information is always current with market trends. I also plan to expand the content database, add more interactive elements to the AI chatbot, and integrate with learning platforms for direct resource access. With full Bolt Pro access, GO Next would truly become a comprehensive, dynamic, and indispensable tool for every student's career journey."
