Inspiration
Our inspiration for this hackathon comes from a very personal place - our younger siblings' experiences in elementary school. Witnessing the struggles they faced due to a lack of teacher support, we were driven to find a way to make a meaningful change.
What it does
We leveraged the powerful capabilities of OpenAI's GPT-4 language model. Our goal was to generate unique questions and answers based on the lesson plans provided by teachers. The development process involved designing the data flow, creating algorithms to process lesson plans, and implementing advanced evaluation using an answer metric to measure textual similarity in students' responses.
How we built it
Python with Figma prototyping
Challenges we ran into
Technical Complexity: Implementing AI-driven tools required a deep understanding of natural language processing and machine learning. It was a technical challenge to ensure that our generated questions were relevant and meaningful to the curriculum.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Finishing!
What we learned
Insight into json, VS studio, and calling on AI.
What's next for Classroom Quota
CQ is poised to expand its reach beyond Ontario, aiming to serve educational institutions and districts on a national and international scale. This expansion will allow CQ to make a more significant impact on education worldwide.
