Inspiration

The inspiration behind Go Creators stemmed from a clear need in the burgeoning world of content creation: a comprehensive, intelligent platform that empowers creators to move beyond guesswork and embrace data-driven strategies.

Many creators struggle with identifying their niche, understanding their audience, building a strong personal brand, or even generating fresh content ideas consistently. We envisioned a tool that could leverage the power of AI to provide actionable insights, making the complex process of content strategy accessible and efficient for everyone, from aspiring influencers to established digital entrepreneurs.

The goal was to create a "co-pilot" for content creators, guiding them through analysis and content generation with smart, personalized recommendations.

What it does

Go Creators is a smart assistant for content creators. It provides:

  • AI-powered insights for niche identification, audience analysis, branding, and content planning
  • Interactive dashboards to monitor growth and access tools quickly
  • Generators for hooks, scripts, content pillars, and full content plans
  • Analytics tools to understand account and post performance
  • Secure authentication and user-specific data control via Supabase

How we built it

Frontend

Challenges we ran into

  • Parsing AI Responses: Gemini API occasionally returned malformed or unexpected JSON. We built fallback logic and robust try-catch blocks to handle parsing errors gracefully.
  • Edge Function Debugging: Deploying/debugging Deno-based functions in Supabase’s serverless environment had a learning curve.
  • RLS Configuration: Ensuring perfect user isolation required precise implementation of RLS (profile_id = uid()).
  • Managing AI Costs & Rate Limits: Planning for scale while keeping costs under control was a constant consideration.
  • Responsive Design for Data-Heavy UI: Designing clean, readable interfaces for both desktop and mobile, especially for analytical dashboards, required extra UI effort and careful use of Tailwind breakpoints.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Developed an end-to-end content strategy platform that integrates real AI-driven decision-making
  • Built scalable, modular code with clean separation of concerns (components, hooks, services, utils)
  • Successfully integrated Supabase Edge Functions with Gemini API in a secure and reusable pattern

What we learned
