What it does

The problem we aim to solve with Go Clean is the prevalent issue of public littering, which adversely affects the environment and communities. The lack of awareness and efficient reporting mechanisms often lead to neglected waste hotspots and contribute to environmental degradation. Additionally, there is a need to foster a culture of cleanliness and responsible waste management within communities.

Public littering poses several challenges. It tarnishes the aesthetic appeal of public spaces, causes harm to wildlife and ecosystems, and poses health risks to humans and animals. The absence of an effective system to identify and report littering zones hinders the timely cleanup and prevention of further littering incidents.

Our proposed solution, Go Clean, is an innovative web and app platform that empowers individuals and communities to actively address the pervasive issue of public littering. With its intuitive and user-friendly interface, Go Clean provides a seamless experience for users to report instances of littering by submitting photos and location details through the website or app.

One of the key features of Go Clean is the live map display, which showcases reported littering zones in real-time. This dynamic visualization allows users to gain a comprehensive understanding of the extent of littering in their community, enabling them to make informed decisions and take appropriate actions.

In addition to reporting, Go Clean fosters community engagement by facilitating the formation of volunteer groups. This functionality brings together like-minded individuals who share a passion for environmental cleanliness.
