Inspiration
My inspiration for this app was a need to store prompts (initially). I wanted to ensure a type of metaphysical type of environment for the UI, as I really dislike standard cut-and-dry UI.
What it does
It takes notes, primarily. But, more importantly, it will make you smile. It's a simple app with a variety of cool features (which is usually what I love to see in apps.)
How we built it
100% Bolt.new
Challenges we ran into
I'd like to have dynamic switching from the Glyph Matrix Controllers along the bottom of the screen. I had these working at one point, but probably need more time to really get it completely bug-free (the dynamic redraw of the mini-boxes took awhile to get the path logic correct and consistent).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Aforementioned path logic on Day/Night mode of mini-bounding boxes. Using literally bounding boxes for 'Glyph Notes', which allows for a bumper-cars like pushing around of other notes if the user clicks-and-drags, lending to an easier and quicker way of rearrange the notes.
What we learned
Well, at one point I wanted to call it 'Falling Stars/Racing Cars' which would include the racing car mode I mentioned in my video. I think this could still be done but what I've learned is to go slow at a certain point, as the code becomes more and more robust!
What's next for GlyphOS Falling Stars
Aforementioned Racecar mode in Day mode. Probably more comprehensive actual note-taking features (perhaps voice-to-text?)
